TOC TOC :
Sound and Plastic fictions inside various topographies: forests, workshops, roofs, joineries, streets, galleries, bridges, halls, parts of apartments, castles, cinemas, theatres... with Natacha Musléra, Nicolas Gerber and Marie Passarelli permanent Creation since 2004 - variable performances between 35 and 50 minutes + installations at arbitrary duration
Toc Toc cross places, spaces, "enters", of all kinds. Each place is regarded as a "raw material" in which Toc Toc starts its immediate or reflexive acts. These "subjective" experiments invent fictions related to sensual perceptions such as the sound, the sight, the odor and the touch. These perceptions are put in frictions, in contact with the architecture of a place: its surfaces, its memories, its structures, its waves.
Three times cooperate:
The first time: The act does not start at the time of its public act, but upstream, starting from the startup, on the way of the departure until the place of " presentation ". Toc Toc takes materials chosen on the way: plastics, bone, stones, iron, paper, wire, organic matter... and put himself in a state of concentration which helps to perceive crossed spaces. At this time, the fiction is manufactured : bonds, hypertrophies, plans, notes, traces, not necessarily visible are done. A kind of memory, weaving around and apart from the "titled place" is prepared.
The second time: The act is performed publicly - to probe, listen to, interpret the place, the space, in which the act is made public. Toc Toc tests the place, on the one hand by probing its capacity to receive, integrate sound phenomena : vibrations, tensions, interferences, and in addition, while making penetrate (in the literal sense; encrusting, nailing, fastening in the walls) the plastic, organic or disguised objects. Thus, the space lets appear "Metamorphoses", which are rubbed, they enter in tensions, causing the excitation of the directions.
The public is integrally part of the fiction, it is one of the materials essence of the act : its availability to be a "resonant" or "opaque" body...
The concepts of "dimensions" (measurements, displacements) in the sound and plastic improvisation, are inherent in Toc Toc : the tiny one, with the almost invisible detail, the unperceivable frequency - to the Capital letter, the full mass, the saturation of these dimensions. Toc Toc is brought into play, and becomes an automat acting under vegetable, mineral, synthetic materials, and their electromagnetic waves.
The third time : installation at the end of the act, "transposed" space, invites the public to circulate, touch, approach, move away, odorate, scan, open, close, dissimulate, excavate, remove an object and leave with it, if the desire comes.
The installation of Toc Toc is given to reading like a "released" document
